Prosper Real Estate manages rental properties throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. We are currently seeking a maintenance technician to complete work orders on behalf of our clients on a full-time basis for anything from full renovations to painting and repair work in the city of Wausau, WI. This opportunity allows you to build long-term relationships with our clients and tenants as well as increase your "handy-person" skills.
Maintenance Technician
Duties and Responsibilities Overview
1. Job Overview
- Receive work orders that tenants have requested and meet them at their homes to complete tasks.
- Work on renovation projects for our property owner clients
2. Summary of Job Requests
- Plumbing - Unclogging drains and garbage disposals, troubleshooting leaks
- Carpentry - Replacing blinds, demo, hanging sheet rock, installing flooring, etc.
- Moving items over 50 pounds
- Painting - Interior and Exterior
- Landscaping - Brush Removal, Snow Removal, Lawn Care
- Electrical - Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair for tenants who submit these types of work orders
3. Work Schedule
- You may create your own schedule, provided you meet the needs of our clients and tenants of your assigned region. Corporate business hours and available support are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is a requirement to be on call for emergency maintenance requests, which may require availability on the weekends. This is not usual, however.
4. Tools
- This employee is required to have their own basic hand tools and a strong background in general residential maintenance.
- This employee must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record in the event the company vehicle is needed for use.
5. Compensation
- Mileage Reimbursement of 50 cents per mile for work completed in/around the region (commute to and from job site not included), up to $150.00 per month.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
