The Role
Prospect Schools is seeking a thoughtful, equity-driven, and mission-aligned Middle School Musical Theater Lead Teacher to join us in support of our growing network of schools. The ideal candidate is fully dedicated to the mission of Prospect Schools and to supporting the success of our students and families. This person will report directly to the Director of Arts and the School Principal, and will serve as the lead Musical Theater teacher in the classroom.

Employees at Prospect Schools are provided with a competitive salary. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role. The salary range for this role is $63,960 to $106,995.

The Role

Instructional Leadership & Planning
- Lead Musical Theater instruction in a middle school classroom, aligned with the International Baccalaureate framework and Prospect’s curriculum
- Design engaging, rigorous lessons that are culturally responsive and build strong literacy skills
- Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and content areas to support interdisciplinary learning
- Build a warm, inclusive, and intellectually curious classroom culture
- Hold students to high expectations for academic success and behavior, grounded in positive relationships
- Use restorative practices to build classroom community and support student growth
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- At least 2 years of lead teaching experience preferred, ideally in Musical Theater at the middle school level
- A deep commitment to educational equity and working with diverse learners
- Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme is a plus but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
