Prospect Builds is looking for a high-level Carpenter / Technician to join our team. We specialize in custom, detail-driven deck and exterior projects using premium materials like hardwoods, PVC, and architectural-grade components.
This is not production framing or basic labor — we’re looking for someone who understands precision, layout, and finish quality, and takes real pride in their work.
Role Overview:
You’ll be working alongside a small, efficient crew on custom builds, with a strong focus on clean execution, problem-solving, and ownership on site.
Core Responsibilities:
- Layout and execution of custom deck builds
- Advanced framing and structural work
- Installation of premium decking (Ipe, PVC, composite systems)
- Stairs, railings, and finish carpentry details
- Reading plans and working independently
- Maintaining clean, organized job sites
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years carpentry experience (custom residential preferred)
- Ability to run portions of a job without supervision
- Strong eye for detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable, consistent, and professional
- Own tools (professional-grade preferred)
- Valid driver’s license & transportation
Ideal Candidate:
- Has worked with high-end materials (Azek, TimberTech, hardwoods like Ipe)
- Understands layout, elevations, and build sequencing
- Can think ahead and solve problems without being told
- Takes pride in building something that actually looks good when it’s done
Compensation:
$25 – $45/hr depending on experience and capability
