Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders.
- Assist with order picking, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in fulfilling customer requests.
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and maintaining detailed records.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment such as crane or clamp truck while adhering to safety protocols.
- Organize warehouse inventory through proper stacking, palletizing, and storage techniques to optimize space utilization.
- Support warehouse supervision by maintaining a clean, safe workspace and reporting any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly.
Experience
- Prior warehouse distribution or logistics experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks is essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation.
- Experience in construction or industrial environments involving heavy lifting and mechanical tasks is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
