We are seeking an Interior Engineer / Senior Engineer to contribute to the development and launch of next-generation vehicle interior components and systems.
About the Role
The Interior Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality interior components, ensuring excellence in craftsmanship, ergonomics, and functionality.
This role involves close collaboration with design, engineering, and supplier teams to deliver innovative interior solutions from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, packaging, engineering, and launch of interior components and systems
- Develop industry-leading solutions across:
- Instrument Panels (IP)
- Door trims
- Consoles
- Headliners
- Hard & soft trim components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, vehicle engineering)
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality, timelines, and technical requirements are met
- Create and manage technical specifications, timelines, and development plans
- Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to support product development and innovation
What We’re Looking For
- 4 years of experience in automotive interior components and systems development
- Strong knowledge of interior systems, materials, and industry benchmarks
- Experience defining technical specifications and development timelines
- Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)
- Experience with vehicle product development and launch cycles
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience completing full vehicle program lifecycle (concept to production)
- Deep knowledge of:
- Plastic part design
- Structural performance
- Manufacturing technologies
- Ergonomics and safety standards
- Experience with materials selection, injection molding, DFM, and GD&T
- Hands-on approach with strong engineering fundamentals
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
