Seeking a well-rounded maintenance mechanic for an extruder machine shop. Ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver capable of mechanical troubleshooting, general maintenance, and handyman-style repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair extruder equipment and auxiliary machinery
- Perform mechanical maintenance (bearings, gearboxes, chains, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics)
- Handle general facility and handyman tasks (repairs, fabrication, basic welding, plumbing, shop upkeep)
- Diagnose mechanical issues and minimize downtime
- Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and preventive maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with industrial machinery (extruders preferred)
- Ability to perform general maintenance and facility repairs
- Basic electrical knowledge a plus
