Job Description – Private Chef (Indian, Western & Oriental Cuisines)Position: Private ChefLocation: Washington, D.C., USAEmployment Type: Full-Time, Live-outReports To: Homeowners & House ManagerRole SummaryThe Private Chef will prepare high-quality, diverse meals for a UHNW family, with expertise in Indian, Western, and Oriental cuisines. The ideal candidate will deliver restaurant-quality dishes and operate efficiently in a private household environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare daily meals based on family preferences, dietary requirements, and nutritional needs.Demonstrate mastery of Indian, Western, and Oriental cuisines.Create weekly menus and special event menus.Prepare food for private dinners, small gatherings, or formal events.Maintain a clean, organized kitchen with high hygiene standards.Manage grocery shopping, vendor relationships, and ingredient quality.Assist with special dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan, etc.).Travel with the family for short or extended periods, when required.Qualifications & Experience5–8 years of experience in fine dining or luxury private homes.Expertise across Indian, Western, and Oriental cuisines.Strong understanding of nutrition, food safety, and presentation.Culinary training preferred; equivalent experience also accepted.Ability to maintain discretion and function in a UHNW household.Key AttributesCreative and adaptableOrganized and meticulousCalm under pressureStrong work ethic and time managementConfidentiality & Privacy CommitmentThe Chef must strictly protect the privacy and confidentiality of the homeowners at all times. Breach may result in termination and legal consequences.
