Position Summary
The Remediation Specialist is a hands-on role responsible for removing damaged insulation and installing new materials in residential and commercial properties. This position requires working in attics, crawl spaces, tight/confined areas, and at heights, including occasional roof access. Ideal candidates have a construction or trade background, are dependable, physically capable, and comfortable in challenging work environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove old, damaged, or contaminated insulation from attics, crawl spaces, and wall cavities
- Install new insulation using blown-in or batt methods
- Perform remediation work in tight and confined spaces
- Work safely at heights using ladders and rooftop access when required
- Assist with minor roof-related tasks for access or remediation purposes
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris and protecting surfaces
- Ensure proper ventilation, air sealing, and moisture control
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in attics and crawl spaces with limited clearance
- Comfortable working at heights, including ladders and rooftops
- Ability to lift, carry, and move 50–75 lbs regularly
- Ability to crawl, climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Able to work in hot, dusty, and physically demanding environments
Qualifications
- Preferred background in construction or a skilled trade (insulation, remediation, roofing, carpentry, general labor, or similar)
- Experience with hand tools and job-site safety practices preferred
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with physically demanding work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime as needed
