What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unarmed Security Officer - Part Time position at Prosegur?
Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
- Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
- Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
- Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
- This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
- You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
- Respond to any calls from the operator requesting a shift to be covered from little to no notice.
- Must be able to cross-train in various locations for any coverage needed, learning different SOP’s and specific site instructions.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Capable of following complex instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Available schedule Sat-Sun 6am-6pm.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:
- Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
- Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
