What You’ll Do:
As a Software Development Specialist, you’ll contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of software that powers our client’s products. You’ll work on a variety of projects, mostly smaller or less complex initially, allowing you to develop your skills and grow your career.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Writing, testing, debugging, and documenting software code
- Supporting the software development lifecycle with research, analysis, and solution implementation
- Assisting in process improvement and software development best practices
- Analyzing data and applying it to software solutions
- Collaborating with team members on projects and technical initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
We want someone tech-savvy, eager to learn, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Top Required Skills:
- Foundational IT skills (Windows support, networking basics, troubleshooting)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Nice to Have:
- Customer service experience
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Exposure to Generative AI tools
- Quick learner with technical aptitude

Additional Details:
- There is an “on-call” rotation for the team, but new hires are given a few months before joining it
- Full-time role based in Westbrook, Maine
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and documentation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfort working independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP is a plus)
- Strong math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, ratios, and graphs
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role (extended sitting, computer, and phone use)
