Position OverviewThe Operations Manager will serve as the internal execution hub for all customer orders — translating orders into structured project plans and driving cross-functional teams to deliver on time and in full. This role requires a disciplined planner and communicator who can manage multiple concurrent projects, anticipate obstacles, and keep stakeholders aligned from order receipt through final delivery.
Key Responsibilities• Develop and manage detailed project plans for each customer order, defining milestones, resource requirements, and delivery timelines
• Serve as the central coordinator across production, procurement, quality, and customer service to ensure all workstreams stay on schedule
• Proactively identify risks to delivery timelines and lead resolution efforts before they impact the customer
• Maintain real-time visibility into order status across all active projects; provide accurate, timely updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Facilitate regular cross-functional project reviews, driving accountability and decision-making at the right levels
• Build and refine scalable project management processes, tools, and templates to support growing order volume
• Track and report on key delivery metrics including on-time performance, cycle time, and project completion rates
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to align on lead times, manage expectations, and communicate changes proactively
• Manage handoffs between internal teams, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks between order acceptance and shipment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing lead times and increasing operational predictability
Qualifications• 5 years of operations or project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or precision products environment
• Proven ability to plan and manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through completion
• Strong command of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar)
• Experience working cross-functionally with production, procurement, quality, and sales teams
• Data-driven mindset with experience building and tracking operational KPIs and delivery metrics
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfortable presenting to leadership and interfacing with customers
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Epicor, or similar) for order and project tracking
• PMP or equivalent project management certification a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
Compensation & Benefits• Base salary of $100,000 – $140,000 depending on experience
