Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Saint Louis, MO

Pay: $33 to $36/hour

Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/ Electrician; or equivalent combination of professional education and experience

Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

ProRecruiters is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team! 

Job Description:

• Detects malfunctions of machines or equipment, diagnoses problems, or repairs the machine
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment
• Ability to weld stainless and regular steel
• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools
• Routine facility maintenance to include light plumbing, painting, removal and installation of fixtures, and other general items as needed.

Position Requirements:   

• Safely drive a forklift
• Follow specific instructions and adhere to safety/quality guidelines as well as company policies
• Travel required up to 25%
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• In-depth knowledge of complex mechanical systems, industrial electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Compute rate, ratio, and percent as needed for the job.
• Manage problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
