The PTC SAP FI CO FM and PS SME will support Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems functions for both the current SAP ECC 6.0 environment and upcoming S 4HANA implementations. This role partners closely with internal IT, business finance teams, and the system integrator as part of the SMART project. Responsibilities include configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, data activities, training support, and ensuring alignment between As Is and To Be financial processes.

Job Description
The PTC SAP FI CO FM and PS SME will support Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems functions for both the current SAP ECC 6.0 environment and upcoming S 4HANA implementations. This role partners closely with internal IT, business finance teams, and the system integrator as part of the SMART project. Responsibilities include configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, data activities, training support, and ensuring alignment between As Is and To Be financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as SME for Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems in both ECC and S 4HANA environments.
- Act as IT point of contact for financial system activities and integrations.
- Support configuration, development, testing, and system enhancements.
- Learn and map current As Is processes to future To Be processes.
- Assist in implementing new or enhanced processes and reporting capabilities.
- Document changes and support both ECC and S 4HANA landscapes.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure all modifications are thoroughly tested and documented.
- Support reporting needs and analysis across finance and project systems.
- Identify training needs and assist in developing training materials.
- Troubleshoot issues in ECC and support cutover and post go live activities for S 4HANA.
- Promote best practices in change management and business process documentation.
- 10 or more years configuring and supporting SAP ECC 6.0 and S 4HANA Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems.
- 2 or more S 4HANA implementation projects.
- Strong SAP Finance and Controlling experience with end to end process understanding.
- Deep experience with SAP Project Systems in both ECC and S 4HANA.
- Experience with month end and year end processes in ECC and S 4HANA.
- Experience participating in discovery and design workshops on S 4HANA.
- Thorough understanding of end to end business, data, and transaction processes.
- Experience developing design documents, test documents, and training materials.
- Knowledge of public sector financial procedures and regulations.
- Experience with real time and batch integration between ECC, S 4HANA, and external systems.
- Background job processing experience for financial processes.
- Experience handling postings for various payment types including digital payments.
- Experience integrating SAP with external systems and banks.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics integrations.
- Experience using ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
- Experience planning or executing ECC to S 4HANA migrations.
- Experience creating and reviewing test scenarios and scripts and performing hands on testing in ADO.
- Experience with brownfield migrations and transitions to cloud S 4HANA and Fiori.
- Bachelor's degree in business management or information systems or equivalent experience.
- Certifications in S 4HANA Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems strongly preferred.
- Candidate location must be within the continental United States.
- Work is remote until further notice, with future onsite requirements at Middletown, PA locations.
- In person interviews or working sessions may take place in Middletown, PA.
- Onsite presence required during project phases such as Solution Confirmation, PI Cycles, SITs, UAT, Go Live, and Hypercare.
- All PTC equipment must be picked up in person by the candidate.
- Resource must be able to reach the PTC location within 3 hours in an emergency.
- Onboarding requires a criminal background check, NDA if applicable, photo, phone number, and signed policies.
- Vendor resource must use cameras, maintain professional appearance, and follow IT standards.
- No additional compensation for travel within a 3 hour commuting distance.
