Role Summary/Purpose:
Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) on aircraft engine components. Inspect metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for discontinuities or defects using automated and manual methods and techniques which include liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, x-ray, and eddy-current.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Inspection of parts in accordance with manufacturers' repair/overhaul manuals or other specifications for the interpretation to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects)
- Set up, operate, calibrate and perform Process Control Checks on NDE equipment by following established instructions and record results. Organize and report inspection results
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications / Skills:
- High school diploma
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Certification in one or more of the following methods: Liquid Penetrate, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, X-ray
- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident
- Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Near Vision: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16" (42 cm) ± 1" (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected and capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the process involved
