Role Description
We are seeking a Certified Phlebotomist to perform blood collection procedures, ensure proper labeling and processing of specimens, and support both in‑office and mobile appointments. This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and adherence to medical safety protocols. The position is based on‑site in Cary, NC, with occasional travel for mobile collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures safely and efficiently
- Ensure accurate labeling, handling, and processing of specimens
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Utilize laboratory equipment and follow proper documentation procedures
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely sample processing
- Collaborate with teammates and healthcare staff to support smooth operations
- Provide a professional, patient‑centered experience during all interactions
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required
- Proficiency in blood collection and safe venipuncture procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and foundational medical concepts
- Practical laboratory skills for specimen handling and processing
- Experience with medical assisting or patient care practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team‑oriented environment
- Previous phlebotomy or clinical experience is a plus
- CPR training/certification is preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation for mobile appointments
