We are seeking a full-time Assistant Community Manager for a 465-unit residential apartment community located in Washington, DC (Brookland Manor Apartments). The ideal candidate will have experience with Yardi software, Section 8/ Affordable Housing, and be able to assist the Community Manager in all aspects of property management.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the community
- Providing excellent customer service
- Assist with leasing and move-in/move-out procedures
- Collecting/posting of rents
- Collection of delinquent rents
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors and contractors
- Respond to tenant inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Preparation of suit lists
- Monthly close out
- Maintaining accurate records & files
- Marketing/ Outreach
- Assist with budget/ financial reporting
Qualifications/ Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a professional environment.
- Experience with MOR audits and general HUD compliance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in multi-family Project Based Section 8 housing.
- In-depth knowledge of HUD 4350.3 Handbook, IRS Section 42 compliance, and multifamily property management concepts.
- Prior leasing/ sales experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Professional appearance
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Yardi software
- Ability to work weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
