Job Summary
Join our team as a Snow Fighter this winter, where you'll help maintain the safety and accessibility of high traffic commercial properties when snow and ice hit.
Duties
- Operate snow plows, snow blowers, shovels, and other grounds maintenance equipment to clear snow and ice from designated outdoor areas
- Apply salt, or de-icing agents to prevent ice formation and ensure safe walking and driving surfaces
- Monitor weather conditions throughout the winter and be ready to work when needed.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance before use
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding weather updates, work progress, and safety concerns
- Conduct safety checks on pathways and outdoor spaces after snow removal to confirm all areas are safe for pedestrians and vehicles
Requirements
- Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on groundskeeping or landscaping preferred
- Mechanical knowledge for operating power tools, snow plows, excavators, and other landscaping equipment
- Strong adherence to safety protocols when handling power tools, heavy machinery, or hazardous materials
- Physical stamina for prolonged outdoor work in winter conditions; ability to lift heavy loads safely
- Valid experience with snow plowing techniques; familiarity with hardscape clearing is a plus
