Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing vacancies, conducting tours, and upselling available units to prospective tenants.
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management, coordinating repairs and inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Administer lease agreements, renewals, and legal documentation while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-tenant law, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other applicable policies.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite to perform data entry, filing, rent collection, and reporting tasks efficiently.
- Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism via phone or in person, resolving conflicts promptly through effective conflict management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, legal documents, maintenance logs, and tenant files; ensure timely filing and data management.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for property maintenance needs; oversee facilities management to uphold quality standards.
- Negotiate lease terms and contracts while fostering positive relationships with tenants to promote retention and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with legal administrative processes related to property leasing and management; stay updated on relevant laws affecting landlord-tenant relationships.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with property leasing processes is essential.
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and related legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent phone etiquette; ability to handle conflict situations professionally.
- Administrative experience including data entry, filing, contracts management, and office procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment; excellent negotiation skills are highly valued.
- Facilities management knowledge including property maintenance oversight; familiarity with legal administrative processes related to leasing is preferred. Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 39.0 per week
