Data Analyst Apprentice (Paid)

Role Summary

PMI Corporate is seeking a motivated Data Analyst Apprentice to join our team in Lehi, UT. This paid apprenticeship is designed for someone who’s eager to break into the data/analytics field—no prior job experience required. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals (including mentorship from a seasoned industry veteran) and learn practical skills in data quality, reporting, BI modeling, and basic querying while supporting a growing franchising organization.

This position is data-focused, with the opportunity to contribute to tech and AI implementation initiatives, as well as user management, software management, and some user support responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with entry-level data preparation: cleaning, formatting, validating, and organizing datasets
• Maintain and improve recurring reports (weekly/monthly operational reporting)
• Help identify and resolve data issues (missing values, duplicates, mismatched fields)
• Support reporting and analytics requests from corporate teams and franchise stakeholders
• Document processes and reporting definitions (what a metric means, where it comes from)
• Collaborate with analysts and technical team members to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Assist with light user support, including troubleshooting and routing issues appropriately
• Support basic user management and software administration tasks (as trained)
• Participate in AI/automation initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

• Comfortable working on a computer and learning new tools quickly
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to do structured, repeatable work accurately
• Good communication skills (able to ask questions, share progress, and follow instructions)
• Self-motivated—able to take ownership of tasks and follow through

Preferred (Not Required):

• Solid Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas like IF, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP; pivot tables a plus)
• Exposure to SQL or interest in learning how to query data
• Beginner programming familiarity (Python or similar) is helpful, but not expected
• Interest in analytics, business intelligence, or operations
