What the Job Actually Looks Like
This is a full-time, customer-facing position with a schedule that includes weekends and evenings. That's the nature of leasing: prospects tour when they're free, not when it's convenient for office staff.
Day-to-day, you're handling inbound traffic across phone, email, and text. You take detailed notes. You know the current availability, pricing, and unit features well enough to answer questions on the spot. You walk the property regularly, checking vacant units and the tour path to make sure everything meets Cottonwood's standards before a prospect or new resident sees it. Move-in readiness is part of your responsibility, not someone else's.
You'll also help coordinate community events, support social media marketing efforts, keep the package room organized, and maintain vendor communications. It's a broader scope than pure leasing, which gives you exposure to the operational side of running a community.
Cottonwood was an early adopter of self-guided tours, so you'll be working within a tech-forward leasing environment. Knowing how to support prospects who are navigating the process independently, without hand-holding every step, is part of the job.
