Experience working with kids is strongly preferred. Coaching, babysitting, or anything similar is great

Hourly Wages: $17 - $24 an hour, based on qualifications and experience.

All of our Swim Lesson Leaders began their journey with us as part-time Swim Instructors We hire from within for all swim lesson leadership positions and we are actively filling the leadership roles of Mentor Instructor, Deck Supervisor, and Team Leader. In order to be considered for these roles, team members must begin as a Swim Instructor to learn our curriculum, culture, and to build relationships with the team. Responsibilities:

• Teach within our set swim curriculum and have students achieve goals within a given period of time.
• Have fun Create an amazing swim lesson experience for our swimmers.
• Educate and enforce safety rules to prevent accidents & maintain discipline.
• Use appropriate oral communication skills with children and coworkers.
• Be a team player and work well with others
• Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

Requirements:

• GENUINE love for teaching children.
• Previous experience working with children (volunteer or paid).
• A swimming background is beneficial, but not required.
• Ability to communicate well & build relationships.
• Availability to work evenings and/or weekends.
• Must be able to adhere to Instructor Attendance requirement of 90% (For example, must be able to commit to teaching your assigned classes 9 weeks out of 10).
• Reliable form of transportation to/from work
• Willingness to be in the water for 4 hours.
