Delivery Manager
Location: Rehoboth, MA

About the Role
In this energetic role, you will coordinate and optimize delivery operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of propane across SE Massachusetts and Rhode Island. You will be responsible for forecasting propane usage for our customer base and strategically scheduling and routing deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead dispatching efforts, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance overall logistics performance in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, strive to be the best at what we do and take responsibility for the departments performance. This position requires long hours in our busy winter season and is for the person that will do whatever it takes. Experience is preferred but not required. This is much different than delivering packages, what we do is based on many constantly changing variables. In this role, you'll oversee daily deliveries, support drivers, work closely with customer service, and help ensure our customers receive reliable, safe, and timely service.

What You'll Do
Keep Deliveries Running Smoothly
- Plan and schedule daily delivery routes to ensure efficient, on-time service.
- Monitor usage and inventory levels to prevent run-outs and service interruptions.
- Adjust schedules as needed, including weekends or high-demand periods.
- Oversee bulk plant operations, including regular inspections and organization.
- Track fuel usage and delivery activity.
- Handle basic delivery paperwork and billing tasks.
Support Customers & Team Members
- Work closely with Customer Service to help resolve customer concerns.
- Serve as the go-to contact when drivers or customers run into delivery issues.
- Reach out to customers when deliveries need to be scheduled or adjusted.
- Handle customer concerns professionally, helping maintain strong relationships.
- Step in to support Customer Service or Service teams when needed.
Lead & Motivate the Team
- Schedule and lead weekly safety meetings.
- Support and coach drivers to improve performance and safety.
- Review driver inspections and provide guidance as needed.
- Help manage driver schedules, including overtime when necessary.
- Conduct occasional truck and facility walk-throughs to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Promote a positive, safety-focused work culture.

- Experience in operations, logistics, or team leadership (industry experience preferred, not required).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable making decisions and adjusting plans when things change.
- A people-first mindset with the ability to balance customer needs and operational demands.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
- CDL not required but a big plus
