We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dispatch Supervisor to oversee our trucking, warehousing, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispatching, fleet management, and supply chain logistics. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze data effectively to ensure efficient operations. As a Dispatch Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in coordinating freight movement and managing a team of Class A CDL drivers.Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Please answer all screening questions to expedite the application process.ResponsibilitiesLeading and directing a team of professional CDL-A DriversSupervise daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of freight.Dispatching local and regional routesPlan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations, or production goals.Direct workers in transportation department, such as moving, storing, and loading or unloading of materials.Resolve worker problems or collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolution.Ensuring DOT compliance – auditing logs, inspecting equipment, validating credentialsExtensive knowledge of DOT and FMSCA regulations to ensure the safety of commercial motor vehicles and their operations.Processing vehicle service requestsDriver Scheduling – strategic routing, PTO planning, scheduling equipment & appointmentsData Entry – updating TMS, processing trip sheetsManage and train dispatch staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.Utilize phone systems to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and service quality.Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize supply chain processes.Oversee fleet management activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance schedules.Maintain accurate records through data entry and ensure all dispatch documentation is complete.Implement best practices for phone etiquette when interacting with clients and team members.Other duties as assignedQualificationsProven experience of at least 4 years in dispatching within the logistics or transportation industry.Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and freight operations.Familiarity with phone systems and effective communication techniques.Experience with data analysis to drive operational improvements.Knowledge of fleet management practices is required.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs with excellent typing skillsWork varying hours to support the needs of the businessKnowledge of DOT Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
