Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods including pastries, cookies, bread, desserts, and other confections according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Package baked items carefully for storage or delivery, ensuring product integrity and presentation quality
- Follow food handling guidelines diligently to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, portioning dough, and assembling products
Skills
- Extensive experience in food production, baking, pastry preparation, and bread making
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards
- Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining consistency across large batches
- High-volume production experience with an understanding of workflow efficiency
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
- Experience in food handling within the food industry or culinary environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
This position will start out as part-time with the potential to go full-time. Weekend availability is a must!
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
