We’re a fast-growing food supplement manufacturer building high-quality, science-driven products — and we’re looking for an Experienced R&D Flavor Specialist to join our team.
This role sits at the intersection of flavor science, formulation, and real-world manufacturing. Our primary focus is powder-based supplements, so your expertise in flavor creation, masking, and application will be critical in developing products that not only perform — but taste exceptional. You’ll take ownership of flavor development from concept through production, working hands-on with formulations and collaborating closely with production and quality teams to ensure scalability and consistency.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and optimize flavors for powder-based supplement products
Work hands-on with formulations to ensure taste, stability, and performance
Apply flavor masking techniques (e.g., for bitterness, off-notes, active ingredients)
Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to bring formulations into manufacturing
Support scale-up from lab to production, ensuring flavor consistency at larger volumes
Evaluate raw materials and flavor systems for compatibility and performance
Troubleshoot flavor-related issues during production
Create and maintain clear documentation (formulations, trials, SOPs)
Stay up to date with trends and innovations in flavor science and functional ingredients
What We’re Looking For
At least 1 year of proven experience in flavor development / flavor applications / flavor science
Background in food science, chemistry, nutrition, or a related field
Experience working with powder formulations (supplements experience is a strong advantage)
Strong understanding of flavor systems, masking techniques, and ingredient interactions
Ability to translate lab formulations into scalable production processes
Hands-on, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Clear communication and solid documentation practices
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to Have
Experience in dietary supplements or nutraceuticals
Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing
Background in flavor houses or flavor application roles (e.g., flavor technician, flavorist, applications scientist)
Experience with functional or active ingredient flavor challenges
