FedEx Ground Operations Manager – Delivery Routes | Cincinnati Area
We are hiring an Operations Manager to oversee a FedEx Ground delivery operation in the Northern Cincinnati area.
This role is responsible for daily route planning, driver coordination, vehicle oversight, and communication with station management. The right candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable making real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and adjust daily delivery routes for efficiency
- Manage driver schedules and coverage (7-day operation)
- Ensure all routes are dispatched on time each morning
- Monitor route progress and handle issues during the day
- Coordinate with FedEx station staff and management
- Oversee vehicle condition, maintenance, and readiness
- Support hiring, onboarding, and driver performance
What Success Looks Like
- All routes covered and dispatched on time
- Drivers supported and performing consistently
- Efficient routes with minimal overtime
- Clean safety record and well-maintained vehicles
Compensation
- Base: $900–$1,000 per week
- Weekly performance bonus
- Monthly bonus based on safety, retention, and operations
Total potential: $1,000–$1,400 per week
- Schedule
- Full-time, including some weekend oversight
- Early mornings required (dispatch)
- On-call during delivery hours
✅ Requirements
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage people and stay calm under pressure
- Valid driver’s license and clean background
- Delivery/logistics experience preferred
- FedEx pays for a drug screening and physical
- Must be willing to drive a route 1-2 times per week or as needed
