Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Reports To:
Clinical Director / Lead BCBA
Position Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and supervision of individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans for clients with developmental and behavioral needs. The BCBA ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with ethical standards, payer requirements, and evidence-based practices, while maintaining clinical integrity and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:1. Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including functional behavior assessments (FBA) and skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS).
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on data, clinical judgment, and client needs.
- Establish measurable goals targeting communication, social, adaptive, and behavioral skills.
- Continuously update treatment plans based on progress and data analysis.
2. Implementation & Oversight of Services
- Supervise and monitor the implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Ensure treatment fidelity across all service providers (RBTs/BCaBAs).
- Provide ongoing clinical guidance and modeling of interventions.
- Ensure interventions are function-based and aligned with best practices.
3. Supervision & Training
- Provide supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and/or BCaBAs in accordance with BACB requirements.
- Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations.
- Train staff in ABA principles, data collection, and behavior reduction procedures.
- Provide corrective feedback and ongoing coaching.
4. Data Collection & Analysis
- Review and analyze data to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Make data-driven decisions to modify interventions and goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with payer requirements.
5. Family & Caregiver Training
- Provide parent/caregiver training to ensure generalization and maintenance of skills.
- Educate families on behavior strategies and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with caregivers to support consistency across environments.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation (e.g., treatment plans, progress reports, supervision notes).
- Ensure compliance with:
- BACB Ethics Code
- Medicaid and insurance guidelines
- Company policies and procedures
- Participate in audits and quality assurance activities.
7. Collaboration & Coordination of Care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (speech, OT, PT, schools, physicians).
- Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and care coordination efforts.
- Advocate for client needs and appropriate service delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Current certification as a BCBA through the BACB
- Active state licensure (if applicable, e.g., Florida LBA)
- Experience working with individuals with ASD and related disorders

- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move for extended periods
