Responsibilities
Prominent is looking for a QA Lead for a contract to hire with our client in either Greenwood Village, Colorado or Omaha, Nebraska. This lead will oversee testing strategy, execution, and quality assurance activities across multiple initiatives and systems with responsibilities including:
Quality Assurance Leadership
- Manage multiple testing initiatives simultaneously across projects of moderate to high complexity.
- Define, review, and approve test strategies, plans, and quality assurance deliverables.
- Lead testing efforts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, coaching, and training to QA team members.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for applications, business processes, and testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with senior management, business stakeholders, developers, and global technical teams.
- Lead all phases of testing, including planning, design, scripting, execution, defect management, debugging, and reporting.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts to validate business and technical requirements.
- Ensure full traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and test results.
- Support functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Analyze, prioritize, and communicate defects based on business impact and technical risk.
- Provide regular testing status updates, risk assessments, and progress reports to project stakeholders.
- Design and automate test cases using existing automation frameworks.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and quality metrics.
- Monitor and report software quality metrics and testing effectiveness.
- Work closely within Agile Scrum teams to coordinate testing activities and sprint deliverables.
- Participate in architectural discussions, defect reviews, enhancement planning, and solution design sessions.
- Support change management activities and help resolve issues arising throughout the development lifecycle.
- Experience within the Banking and Financial Services industry, including:
- Payments
- Tax Payments
- ACH
- NACHA regulations and processes
- Experience with:
- Test Automation Tools (Tosca, Selenium)
- Mainframe and distributed application environments
- Web application testing
- Database testing
- Performance testing
- Accessibility (ADA) and User Interface testing
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
- Familiarity with enterprise tools such as:
- Jira
- SharePoint
- Workday
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Anticpated rate while on contract is within a range of $47 - 52/hr.
