INTERNSHIP SUMMARY
Prometheus Summer Internship Program is a paid program that will provide you with an inside look at the real estate operations of Prometheus, the largest private owner of multi-family properties in the Bay Area. The internship is intended to provide a unique opportunity to earn valuable experiences by working directly with the department managers on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will focus on providing assistance to your immediate department in the execution of daily tasks and support of internal and external customers by collaborating with others on providing outstanding service to our Prometheans, Neighbors, and Vendors. Areas of learning will include becoming familiar with varying types of real estate transactions and their associated documents, and cross-functionality in a diverse working environment. This role will require you to work up to 40 hours per week, for a duration of 9-12 weeks.

- You’re curious, analytical, and enjoy working with data to make measurable impact on the operational and financial performance of a tangible asset class
- You’re a self-starter, resourceful, and can prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Prometheus Tax Intern, you will focus on developing an understanding of the following core competencies of our operations:
Tax Analysis and Preparation
- Run reports and financials from various accounting software
- Assist with preparation of various tax workpapers, documents and forms
- Assist with filings including Secretary of State forms, business licenses, local and excise tax returns
Maintaining Tax Information
- Create organization charts
- Maintain signature blocks
- Assist in updating various tax schedules and reports
- Intranet updates
Tax Administration
- Process invoices and other miscellaneous payments
- Coordinate mailing of various tax payments and documents.
- Capture and document meeting notes for key team meetings
- Lead special project aimed at documenting Tax department processes
Tax Research
- Assist in researching tax law and application for various projects

- Currently enrolled in an accredited university with a sophomore, junior or senior standing
