The internship is intended to provide a unique opportunity to earn valuable experiences by working directly with the department managers on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will focus on providing assistance to your immediate department in the execution of daily tasks and support of internal and external customers by collaborating with others on providing outstanding service to our Prometheans, Neighbors, and Vendors. Areas of learning will include becoming familiar with varying types of real estate transactions and their associated documents, and cross-functionality in a diverse working environment. This role will require you to work up to 40 hours per week, for a duration of 9-12 weeks.ABOUT YOUYou are a current student and are interested in learning more about real estate asset managementYou're curious, analytical, and enjoy working with data to make measurable impact on the operational and financial performance of a tangible asset classYou're a self-starter, resourceful, and can prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environmentABOUT THE ROLEAs our Prometheus Tax Intern, you will focus on developing an understanding of the following core competencies of our operations:Tax Analysis and PreparationRun reports and financials from various accounting softwareAssist with preparation of various tax workpapers, documents and formsAssist with filings including Secretary of State forms, business licenses, local and excise tax returnsMaintaining Tax InformationCreate organization chartsMaintain signature blocksAssist in updating various tax schedules and reportsIntranet updatesTax AdministrationProcess invoices and other miscellaneous paymentsCoordinate mailing of various tax payments and documents.Capture and document meeting notes for key team meetingsLead special project aimed at documenting Tax department processesTax ResearchAssist in researching tax law and application for various projectsHERE'S MORE OF THE NITTY-GRITTY: Our Tax Intern possesses the following experience, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:Currently enrolled in an accredited university with a sophomore, junior or senior standingYour Cultural Traits - Although we're a highly dispersed organization by the nature of our business, our Prometheans are strongly united by our Purpose, Mission and our Cultural Traits.
