The Role
We are seeking a determined & hardworking shop assistant to join our team (part-time) with hopes of promotion to a full-time finisher. The ideal candidate is attentive, capable of learning quickly from instructions and experiences, and hardworking. They are detail oriented, yet not afraid to get down-and-dirty with work.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and masking pieces for finishing
- Sanding and stripping finish from furniture and pianos
- Aiding in daily tasks & projects
- Following safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Requirements
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Basic finishing knowledge or woodworking knowledge preferred
- Experience in flooring, cabinetry, buffing or auto detailing are advantageous, but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.30 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
