POSITION OVERVIEW
Under supervision of the Director of Outreach, the requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The Outreach Worker is responsible for outreach initiatives to expand access to behavioral health services within the community. This role will build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, and local agencies while ensuring outreach activities align with the organization’s mission and goals. The Outreach Worker will work with the Director of Outreach to develop strategies to increase program visibility, and implement evidence-informed approaches to connect individuals and families to behavioral health resources.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work with the Director of Outreach, Program Directors, Senior Administrators, and program outreach/intake staff to develop and implement a strategic and targeted outreach plan for the Behavioral Health portfolio.
- Develop new and strengthen existing partnerships with referral partners in the community.
- Focus on boosting internal referrals and integrated are model within Acacia Network.
- Participate in community council meetings, community meetings, etc., to share Acacia Network services and develop potential partnerships.
- Table at community events, resource fairs, and/or within city or state agencies to share program information for potential referral to services.
- Assist in maintaining the program’s census across the BH network at full capacity.
- Coordinate, organize, and conduct presentations to community agencies, hospitals, criminal justice and family court entitles, and other community partners.
- Engages in educational prevention activities.
- Maintains quality documentation and ensures submission of accurate and timely documentation.
- Assists staff in coordinating referrals to the appropriate program, ensuring follow-up communication for referral partner, and seamless admission to the program, if determined to be clinically appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- CASAC, CASAC-T, CRPA, CRPA-P, or qualified health professional, preferred.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish), preferred
- Demonstrates skills in strengths-based, person-centered, trauma-informed, and self-directed care.
- Experience working within community settings, preferred.
- Obtain within six months of hire:
- Trained in Opioid Overdose Prevention and Narcan Use
- Obtain within thirty days of hire:
- Mandated Reporter
- Excellent communication, public speaking, interpersonal skill, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and apply principles of equity, inclusion, and cultural humility.
