What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Technical Representative position at Prolog Inc.?
ProLog seeks a Senior Technical Representative (STR) to manage warehouse operations and serve as the primary interface with the Government. The STR directs daily execution across receiving, storage, material issue, packaging, delivery, and customer support functions. This role provides oversight of personnel, enforces process compliance, and maintains accountability within Navy ERP and associated systems.
The STR serves as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and leads coordination across all task areas.
Responsibilities
- Direct warehouse operations across receiving, storage, issuing, packaging, delivery, and customer service
- Supervise personnel performing materiel handling, inventory, and distribution functions
- Maintain accountability of material using Government systems, including Navy ERP
- Resolve discrepancies identified during receiving, storage, and physical inventory
- Oversee Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) and warehouse organization practices
- Coordinate delivery schedules, priorities, and execution timelines
- Interface with the COR on performance status, issues, and operational updates
- Enforce compliance with applicable DoD, Navy, and site-specific procedures
- Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and maintain continuity of operations across warehouse activities
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation required for the issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC) and to obtain and maintain a Public Trust designation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years of warehouse experience performing materiel management functions, including:
- Material receipt
- Material issue
- Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS)
- Discrepancy resolution during physical inventory
- Demonstrated experience supervising a team of at least ten (10) warehouse personnel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in DoD Systems Applications and Products (SAP) for warehouse management
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a warehouse and distribution environment at NUWCDIVNPT, Newport, RI
- Position requires coordination across multiple warehouse functions and interaction with Government personnel
