Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Systems Analyst to support a global financial services client. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology, supporting critical financial data platforms and driving changes across business and technology teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong Investment Management / Asset Management / Capital Markets experience, hands-on SQL skills, and proven experience with BAU data support, production issue investigation, data mapping, reconciliation, and Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery and support of financial services data products.
• Investigate and resolve BAU and production data issues, including root cause analysis and remediation.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain source-to-target data mappings, transformations, business rules, and validation requirements.
• Analyze existing SQL, data logic, and technical implementations.
• Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and data-quality analysis.
• Partner with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Engineering teams.
• Support Agile activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
• Ensure data solutions meet production standards for accuracy, traceability, auditability, stability, and operational resilience.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and improved data controls.
• Maintain business and technical documentation including requirements, data mappings, workflows, and process documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong Investment Management, Asset Management, Capital Markets, or Financial Services experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting investment, trading, risk, operations, or regulatory reporting data platforms.
• Experience with investment/portfolio management platforms.
• Strong SQL / PL-SQL skills, including complex queries, data analysis, validation, and production issue investigation.
• Experience with data mapping, data transformation, reconciliation, data quality, and relational data models.
• Experience troubleshooting production data issues and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong understanding of enterprise data flows, integrations, and application architectures.
• Experience working with business stakeholders and technical/development teams.
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience with Jira, backlog management, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with Informatica or other ETL/data integration tools.
• Exposure to data governance, process optimization, automation, or data controls.
• Experience with investment platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, Murex, Calypso, or similar.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.

Important Candidate Requirements

Investment Management / Asset Management experience is mandatory.
Candidates with only banking experience will NOT be considered.
