Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Planner 4 to plan, coordinate, and manage facilities utilization, equipment and machinery maintenance, facility modifications, and building projects. This role oversees projects from initial design concepts through implementation, ensuring that operational requirements, budgets, schedules, and technical objectives are met.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management and space-planning experience, along with excellent negotiation, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize the utilization of company space and facilities based on organizational needs, operational efficiency, available resources, and budget constraints.
• Plan, direct, and manage equipment and machinery maintenance, facility modifications, and building projects from design through implementation.
• Establish project requirements, define scope, and coordinate project planning and execution.
• Negotiate contracts and contract modifications, as required.
• Establish operating budgets and identify financial terms and conditions associated with project contracts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities, equipment and machinery maintenance, and project-related activities.
• Lead project reviews to evaluate cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Establish project milestones and monitor progress against master plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify project risks, resolve issues, and develop solutions, including resource reallocation or scope adjustments.
• Coordinate employees and cross-functional teams assigned to projects.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure projects align with operational requirements and organizational efficiency objectives.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in project management, facilities planning, or facilities operations.
• Ability to plan and manage projects involving facilities, equipment maintenance, or building modifications.
• Experience monitoring project budgets, schedules, milestones, and performance.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience in space planning and facilities utilization.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing contract changes.
• Experience managing equipment and machinery maintenance projects.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate project reviews.
• Strong stakeholder communication and vendor coordination skills.
