What are the responsibilities and job description for the SIOP Consultant position at PROLIM Corporation?
The SIOP Consultant will be responsible for developing, deploying, and stabilizing the end‑to‑end Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process for the Rockford site. This role will closely collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate demand planning, governance, seamless transition to the new production site, and robust buffer management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deploy the complete SIOP process for the Rockford location, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives.
• Work closely with the SIOP team to validate demand accuracy, adjust forecast inputs, and ensure demand alignment with the new production site transition plan.
• Establish structured rituals and governance mechanisms for SIOP review cycles, including demand review, supply review, pre‑SIOP, and executive SIOP meetings.
• Define and monitor key SIOP metrics such as forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, inventory coverage, and demand adherence.
• Place demand and manage buffer purchase orders to support smooth operational transitions, ensuring material availability during the production shift.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, production planning, and program management teams to ensure cross‑functional integration of the SIOP plan.
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvements across demand planning, capacity planning, and execution alignment.
• Support risk identification and mitigation planning for supply, demand, and capacity constraints.
• Document SIOP procedures, workflows, and governance guidelines for ongoing adherence and training.
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on data analysis, trends, and scenario planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong experience in SIOP / S&OP deployment in manufacturing, aerospace, or similar industries.
• Hands‑on experience in demand planning, production planning, and supply chain processes.
• Ability to define governance structures and lead cross‑functional SIOP review cycles.
• Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting tools, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Rockford (USA, IL).
Preferred:
• Experience in transition programs involving relocation of production sites.
• Experience in buffer planning and risk‑based inventory management.
• Experience in aerospace industry would be preferred.
Recommended Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Master’s degree (preferred but not mandatory) in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA)
• Additional certification in SIOP / S&OP / Demand Planning / Supply Chain Planning (APICS/ASCM) is a strong advantage
