Job Title: Media Analyst (Qualitative & Quantitative)
Location: Remote - PST
We are seeking a Media Analyst to join the Communications Measurement team. This role focuses on analyzing the impact of communications across traditional press, social media, and owned channels. The analyst will provide both qualitative insights and quantitative data analysis to inform strategic decisions at the global level.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and summarize media coverage of key issues
- Provide qualitative and quantitative insights on news cycles and policy topics
- Create reports with media insights and visualizations to assess impact
- Support the communications team in developing KPIs and success metrics across press, social, and owned channels
- Collaborate with global colleagues to deliver highquality work under tight deadlines
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in media analysis, journalism, communications, research, or related fields (media agency, think tank, or measurement platform)
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong numeric and quantitative analysis skills
- Experience handling datasets and creating visualizations (Brandwatch, Cision a plus)
- Ability to draft messaging materials and write news summaries
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with media monitoring tools (Brandwatch, Cision, Meltwater, etc.)
- Background in measurement projects using data platforms to monitor coverage and analyze social media conversations
- Understanding of media metrics and analytics
