ProLift Garage Doors of Charleston seeks an experienced Residential Garage Door Installer to perform residential door and motor installs for the greater Charleston area. If you have 2 years of prior experience working as a garage door installer, please apply. Custom and high end door install experience a plus. Commercial install experience a plus.

Position Overview
As a garage door installer at ProLift, you will travel in the greater Charleston area in a company work truck to the customer’s home to install garage doors. Doors are loaded prior to the install appointment and for retrofits, you will return to the shop to dispose of the old doors in the scrap dumpster. You will also have varying production jobs for repairs and motor installs as needed. Following installation completion, you will follow the company's install wrap up procedures, accept payments, and track materials consumed.
Responsibilities
- Install various types of garage doors and openers
- Perform production duties including garage door repairs and motor installs
- The Garage Door Installer will also troubleshoot, repair, and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment
- Manage work truck including maintenance, inventory, tools, and cleanliness
- Manage your schedule, client communications, and basic door operation tutorials
- Utilize Service Titan software to verify loads, dispatch, fill out forms, share invoices, take payments, and upload photos
- Assist with warehouse duties including organization and delivery unloads
- Follow the established processes to maximize efficiency and minimize recalls
- Maintain a strong attention to detail ensuring clients receive the highest quality installs and experience
- Follow all conduct and attendance guidelines set in the employee handbook
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience installing residential garage doors and motors is required
- Mechanical aptitude – knowledge and skill in using various hand and power tools
- Sales and customer service experience is highly preferred
