What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Technician position at Projob LLC?
Sterling Personnel is recruiting for a Utility Technician for our client in the San Antonio area. The utility technician will be responsible for a variety of manual and semi-skilled labor duties for the repair, construction, and maintenance of the water distribution and wastewater collection system.
The expected duration of this assignment is 6 months. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. The hourly rate is $19.00.
Required to work hours other than regular schedules such as days, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call and rotating shifts.
Outline Essential Functions / Job Duties:
- BFP Area: The volume of cleaning and housekeeping responsibilities significantly impacts the operator's ability to focus on process monitoring and operational efficiency.
- Clean and maintain 16 conveyor drain pans and sprayer assemblies.
- Clean containment areas for polymer pumps and sludge feed pumps
- Clean the containment areas for sludge day tanks and polymer storage tanks
- Power wash 12 belt filter presses – horizontal and vertical belts
- Other duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as necessary to support Treatment Maintenance operations.
Diamond Filter Area: To maintain filter cleaning requirements, overtime is frequently utilized to complete this work.
- Wash and maintain 10 diamond filter basins and carriages
- Wash and maintain filter media – 80 total assemblies
- Ensure walkways, handrails are power washed and free of debris
- Power wash diamond filter backwash pump station
- Other duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as necessary to support Treatment Maintenance operations.
