Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to create a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
• Prepare and serve food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for order processing, cash handling, and transactions.
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the customer experience.
• Manage food handling responsibilities including proper sanitation, food safety protocols, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with food prep tasks in the kitchen or café area to ensure timely service during busy hours.
• Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, bus tables, and ensure proper food storage practices are followed.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for change, and reconcile cash drawers at shift end.
• Support team members with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring efficient workflow in a quick service or fast-food setting.
• Engage customers in friendly conversation about menu options while promoting specials or upselling opportunities.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or retail environments such as cafés, grocery stores, or quick-service restaurants is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
• Culinary experience or background in food preparation helps ensure quality service delivery.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders quickly during peak hours.
• Customer service skills that foster positive interactions and encourage repeat business.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math tasks accurately.
