  • Coordinate with off-site engineering and design teams when issues require escalation to ensure timely and effective resolution
  • Identify potential technical, schedule, cost, and safety risks, and implement proactive mitigation measures
  • Review, process, and track submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including redlines and as-built markups
  • Support plan review and approval processes with local and state authorities having jurisdiction, as required
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager regarding open technical items and field conditions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of project execution
  • Adhere to internal engineering standards, safety policies, and project procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of field experience supporting construction of large, high-voltage electrical substations
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment installation, commissioning support, and associated subsystems
  • Familiarity with high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, substation layouts, grounding systems, and protective schemes
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, contractors, and client representatives while providing technical leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, standing, walking, climbing, crawling, and working in both office and active construction environments
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
