Job Overview
Project One LLC, a fast-growing national company, is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Construction to lead, strengthen, and scale its construction department. The Director of Construction will oversee all aspects of construction operations, from pre-construction planning through project completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a senior leadership role that will play a pivotal part in shaping the company’s growth and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Department Leadership & Development
- Continue to build, mentor, and manage a high-performing construction team.
- Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and best practices to drive operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Project Oversight & Execution
- Direct and oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and execution.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting quality and safety standards.
- Manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Strategic Planning
- Partner with executive leadership to set long-term departmental goals and align construction operations with company objectives.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and expand capabilities.
- Evaluate new markets, project types, and construction methodologies to support business growth.
- Financial Management
- Develop and oversee construction budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
- Negotiate contracts, review bids, and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.
- Monitor financial performance of projects and the department as a whole.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Proactively manage risks and resolve project challenges to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (degree preferred).
- 5 years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and project management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.

Managing a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success. Developing positive relationships and handling customers' needs. Generating new sales using existing customers and seeking new customers, encourage repeat business and ensure that clients are satisfied with company products and services. Managing on-call and after-hours responsibilities to ensure our clients are taken care of 24/7.

Pay: Est Annual Salary: $125,000-$140,000
Supplemental Pay Types: Performance Bonus
