What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Aide position at Project Hospitality?
SUMMARY:
Provides direct care to families assigned to Emergency Hotel Family.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors, screens, and oversees all families assigned to the Emergency Hotel.
- Responsible for safety and security of all families assigned to the Emergency Hotel
- Works closely with the case management staff to meet the needs of the families.
- Assists families in developing their ADL skills, housekeeping as needed.
- Transports and accompanies clients to various appointments as needed.
- Engage families on a one on one basis as needed to afford socialization opportunities.
- Monitor families for adherence to project and hotel rules.
- Responds to family health and mental health needs as needed.
- Complete bed roster / bed assignment as needed in DHS-CARES system
- This position requires a High School diploma or GED.
- Experience with the homeless and substance abuse population needed.
- A clean and valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a passenger van necessary.
- Ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects.
- Must have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues.
- The physical ability to perform the essential job functions is needed.
- In addition, the Client Care Coordinator shall perform any duties as required to meet the needs of the agency and the clients that we serve.
