Position Summary
The Community Volunteer Coordinator works with the Community Volunteer Team to host in‑person volunteer events in the community and in the studio. This role handles pre‑event communications, recruits volunteers, and ensures high‑quality event execution that reflects our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and lead volunteer activities during in‑person events both on site at the Project Helping Volunteer studio as well as in the community (local travel required)
- Represent and educate volunteers on the organization's mission during events
- Secure groceries and necessary supplies and distribute as needed per event requirements
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Ensure online volunteer opportunities are accurate and up to date
- Monitor volunteer sign‑ups and proactively promote opportunities to fill gaps
- Manage shared inboxes
- Respond promptly to inquiries
- Clear promotions and spam to maintain inbox hygiene
- Track attendance and report metrics in the Notion database
- Assist the Corporate Experience Team with virtual and in person Kynd Kit calls/events
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating volunteers or events preferred
- Clear, friendly, and professional written and verbal communication
- Organized and detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through
- Comfortable leading groups and representing the organization's mission
- Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Basic proficiency with Notion or similar tools for tracking and reporting preferred
