Company Description
Project Girl Mentoring Program is a non-profit organization in Lynnwood, WA, that provides mentoring, educational, and social activities to young women throughout Snohomish County and its surrounding area. Our mission is to foster the advancement of young women of color to make positive life choices and maximize their authentic potential. We believe in the Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach to help girls acquire the skills and knowledge to become healthy and productive women. Our programs offer leadership, social building activities, enrichment opportunities, and career explorations to inspire girls to be the change they seek in the world.
Role Description
This is a full-time/ part-time on-site role as a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with the role. This includes overseeing program management, communicating with stakeholders, ensuring efficient customer service, project management, and program development.
Qualifications
- Experience in program management and development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Effective project management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in working with youth, specifically girls of color
- Bachelor's degree in social work, education, non-profit management, or related field
- Experience with the Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach is a plus.
Requirements:
- Life experience of being a Young Woman of Color
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clear a background check with DCYF.
- Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Be able to commute to the office (Lynnwood) as well as to various community centers and school (Snohomish and King) * Mileage will be Reimbursed
- Proficient in Google Workplace
- Mentoring experience preferred
