Please visit our website at: www.projectfind.org.Job Summary:The Per Diem Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the activities at the building, patrolling the property premises and logging in surveillance activities. This position fills in when full-time and Part-time staffers use PTO.This position is ideal for a professional seeking flexible, essential support work on a per diem basis. Assignments are short-term, varying in length from a few weeks to three months, based on program and building operational needs.Responsibilities include:Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures.Greet all residents and visitors cordially.Log in non-tenants.Patrol building twice each evening.Check roof and basement once every evening.Report building systems emergencies to superintendent and manager.In the event of a tenant medical emergency, contact 911 and the superintendent.Document all medical, police and building systems events in the Project FIND Incident Report form.Patrol property on foot, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditions.Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety, and fire incidents.Control and monitor surveillance equipment and perform building inspections.Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry to trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during the start and end of business hours.Qualifications:Proficiency with computers, and aptitude to learn new software and systems.Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems.High school diploma or GED required.Schedule:This is an on-call position and schedule will vary based on available shifts. There is no promise of hours in a given payroll period and an employee with this classification may not average more than 30 hours per week or work more than 130 hours per month. To maximize work opportunity, this position requires the availability and flexibility to occasionally work weekends and some holidays.Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
