Overview
We are excited to open a new, patient-centered Primary Care & Urgent Care clinic in September 2026 and are looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our founding team.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, has excellent customer service skills, enjoys working with people, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients with professionalism, compassion, and efficiency.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments for both primary care and urgent care services.
- Answer multi-line phone systems and respond to patient questions in a courteous and timely manner.
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient demographics and required documentation.
- Collect copays, balances, and process patient payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) system.
- Scan, upload, and organize medical documents while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests as needed.
- Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Assist with administrative duties, including filing, faxing, copying, and inventory of office supplies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office, primary care, urgent care, specialty clinic, or hospital setting preferred.
- Medical receptionist or front desk experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, referrals, and patient registration is preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional phone etiquette and outstanding customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
