About ProGuardProGuard Security Services provides customized, professional security solutions to buildings and facilities across the San Francisco Bay Area. Our work combines operational discipline with a high-touch, customer-service approach, and we invest in developing our people for long-term success.
ProGuard is looking for a practical, energetic marketing intern who can help shape and execute the company’s next stage of marketing. This is not a role where you will only support isolated tasks: you will work directly with CEO Nils Welin to turn business goals into a focused marketing plan, then help put that plan into action.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, resourceful, comfortable taking ownership, and interested in learning how a service business grows in the U.S. market. Strong performance may lead to an opportunity to remain with ProGuard beyond the initial internship period.
What you will do· Assess ProGuard’s current marketing activities, audiences, positioning, and opportunities, and develop a practical marketing plan with clear priorities.
· Create compelling content that explains ProGuard’s services, people, customer-service philosophy, and value to prospective clients and employees.
· Plan and manage content across the company website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, email newsletters, video, and other relevant channels.
· Build and maintain an editorial calendar and ensure that agreed content and campaigns are delivered on time.
· Develop campaign concepts that can increase awareness, engagement, leads, and recruitment interest, and track what performs well.
· Help create marketing collateral, presentations, case stories, and other sales-support materials.
· Support the planning and promotion of industry events or conferences and contribute ideas that improve project and content workflows.
· A current student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, business, media, or a related field — or someone who can demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
· Excellent written and spoken English, with the judgment to adapt messages for different audiences.
· A strong interest in content marketing and digital channels; examples of previous work, projects, or campaigns are highly valued.
· A self-starter who can move work forward independently, while knowing when to ask questions and seek input.
· Creative, curious, organized, and dependable, with the ability to manage several priorities and finish what you start.
· Comfort working with different personalities in a fast-moving, service-oriented environment.
· Able and willing to work full-time from the San Francisco Bay Area for approximately one year.
J-1 visa supportFor an eligible international candidate, guidance and practical support with the J-1 visa process will be provided through the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce USA (SACC USA). Final visa eligibility and approval remain subject to the applicable program requirements and U.S. authorities.
