The Temporary Manufacturing Purchasing Assistant provides administrative and purchasing support to the Purchasing Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delivery dates, and shipment status.
- Work with vendors and manufacturing to resolve issues related to non-conforming parts.
- Monitor open purchase orders and update delivery information as needed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate vendor and purchasing records.
- Coordinate with production, inventory, and receiving departments regarding material requirements.
- Review inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities.
- Resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Support supplier performance tracking and reporting.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Previous administrative, purchasing, customer service, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments as needed.
