Position Overview
Progressive Partnerships, LLC is seeking a Cleaning Direct Support Professional to support individuals with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities in Middlesex/Monmouth counties. This role varies day to day depending on client needs and focuses on promoting independence, skill-building, and overall well-being. This position is ideal for someone passionate about social services and committed to helping individuals achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with cleaning and organizing their independent living spaces
- Teach and reinforce skills needed to maintain a clean, safe, and organized home
- Complete household tasks such as:
- Mopping
- Wiping down surfaces
- Bathroom cleaning
- Laundry
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation and household routines
- Create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where individuals can thrive
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure holistic care
- Complete required documentation and case notes accurately and timely
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in behavioral health, social services, childcare, or special education preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience working in home and community-based settings is beneficial
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
